The Force of Fear Versus The Force of Faith
The force of fear always versus the force of faith. Satan will twist what we think we’ve heard. He will twist what we know and make it sound different. Make it sound more appealing to entice us into that sin. He will bring the force of fear into your life so that he can take your vision off of God. Do not let fear to consume your life. Let the force of faith guide you. Have faith in God’s Word.
The Force of Fear Versus The Force of Faith in the Garden
In Genesis 3: 1-6 we see how Satan twisted Eve’s understanding of God’s word and tricked her and Adam into eating the fruit they were commanded not to eat.
Don’t Let the Force of Fear Consume Your Life
We must be able to do what the Word says ALL the time. Do not let fear to consume your life. Have faith in God’s Word. Stand up against the enemy. If the enemy can get you into fear he can keep you away from the Word.
We must know our Father and His ways. When you know God you are able to determine if what’s happening is a trick of the enemy. We have authority to stand against the ways fo the enemy.
Follow what God has commanded us to do. Lot lost his wife because she didn’t listen to God. She looked back and turned into a pillar of salt.
Have the Force of Faith in God’s Word
In Numbers 13:1-2 God instructs Moses to send out members of the tribes to spy out the land of Canaan. God’s Word was that the land flowed with milk and honey.
They were instructed to see if the land was good or bad. If the land was rich or poor. If there were forests or desert. They were even instructed to bring back some of the fruits of the land.
The spies came back with their report after 40 days. You can get a lot of information in 40 days.
They came back and reported that the land was indeed good. That the land was rich. That there were forests. And that here was an abundance of fruit.
They had a good report about the land of Canaan. Then they let the enemy creep into their minds. They let fear enter into their minds and they let their report be twisted into a bad report. They let fear control them.
God had already promised them a good land. It truly flowed with milk and honey just like God had said. But they had a “nevertheless” moment and became fearful of the people of the land. God promised them the land regardless of who was already there. It’s their promised land. The people who are there already were of no consequence.
Don’t let fear creep into your mind. Follow God’s Word. Trust God. Have faith in God’s Word. We have a choice. Faith or fear. Hold fast to the truth that if God said it then it is so. Have faith. Believe the truth.
Follow God’s Vision
In Numbers 13:30 Caleb reminds the other leaders that they are “well able” to take the land that God had promised to them. Caleb held fast to follow God’s vision.
God only speaks truth. If He said it then you had better believe that it will happen. God will bless whatever you put your hand to. We have hope in God’s Word. God will strengthen us. Follow God’s vision for what He has in store for you.
Authority Over the Force of Fear
In Mark 4:35-41 Jesus commanded the wind and the waves to be quiet and they were calmed. We can command the storms in our life to be calm and leave. We have authority over fear. Jesus gave us this authority. Don’t be fearful. When trials come we have to deal with them. However, we have authority over our trials by the Word of Jesus. Follow God’s vision for what He has in store for you.
We have authority over the force of fear and we have authority in the force of faith.
Be Led by God
In Genesis 12:5 God leads Abram out of the land of his father into the promised land. Abram and God had a strong relationship. Abram had faith in God’s Word. Just like Abram, be faithful to God. He is faithful to you. He will bless you and make you a blessing to others. The promises of God are yes and amen. Yield to God. If He can’t move you from your current position you’ll never realize the full vision that He has for you. Be led by God. Let him lead you down the path He has laid out for you.
Have Faith in God’s Word
We may not want to follow God’s Word. In Genesis 22:1-4 Abram was tested with his only offspring. A son that he had waited for more than 75 years! But Abram had faith in God. He knew that he and his son would make it through this test. Abrams words – “God will provide“. Remember, no matter what you’re going through, God will provide. He always provides for us. Have faith in God’s Word. Have faith in what God has commanded over your life. Remain faithful and you will see the promises of God.
